Agenda
The results
of the work on State-of-the-art will be summarised in a report or publication
supported by the COST secretary. The structure and contents of this report
follows the concept developed during the first meeting in Stuttgart (see
minutes and documents of the 1st meeting in Stuttgart)
As not all
aquatic organisms are represented by the COST consortium expertise from outside
will be included. Guest speaker should be invited for the next meeting who will
be asked to contribute to our report by providing a summary.
Floodplain
vegetation: Odland Arvid, Norway, Telemark College (contacted by Arnold)
Macrophytes:
Tom Madsen, Univ. of Aarhus (contacted by Morten) or Georg Janauer, Univ. of
Vienna (contacted by Stefan)
Riverine

In order to
include the expertise of COST participants not member of WG1 and other experts
the following questionnaires were developed during the meeting:
Physical
habitat and instrumentation
Fish
Experimental
channels
Macroinvertebrates
All
questionnaires will be send out by Stefan and should be returned again to
Stefan (HFA-BOKU). HFA-BOKU will provide a brief summary of questionnaire
results. Detailed analysed should be carried out by the sub-working groups and
included into the State-of the-art report.
The
discussion on Research Needs continued during the Trondheim meeting and was
mainly stimulated by the presentation of Dave Scruton (see attachment). Some
further comments were added to his power point presentation (see attachment).
For the
further activities the following procedure was suggested:
Each of WG1
participant should respond to the presentation of David and send their comments
to Armin and Morten. They then will summarise the results and present a first
draft in Vigo as a basis for the further discussion.

for return of comments on Research Needs: end of June.
